Microsoft Edge 90.0.818.46 [Offline Installer]

Microsoft’s Internet Explorer used to be the best web browser until Mozilla Firefox came along. Firefox was popular for a while until Google Chrome took over its popularity. Now, Microsoft is back with an all-new browser to compete with Chrome. It is Microsoft Edge.

Apparently, Microsoft was overly ambitious because they haven’t gotten enough people to come back to the Windows browser. There are different reasons why this is the case. Mainly, it has to do with the EdgeHTML engine which powers the browser.

Microsoft’s been actively trying to improve their browser for a while now. They’ve stopped using the EdgeHTML engine and switched to the Google Blink engine, with the browser being powered by Chromium. Edge Browser will continue to work the same way as before, though.

Better for Developers

Web developers must always make sure the websites they’re coding are compatible with every major browser being used in the present. To do this, they must pay attention to the primary browser engines used to make these browsers. The engines include Gecko by Mozilla, Blink by Google, WebKit by Apple, and EdgeHTML by Microsoft.

Since EdgeHTML is gone, it is now easier for web developers to keep their website creations compatible with the latest browsers out there.

Microsoft is smart to switch their browser engine to Google’s Blink because it is easier for the latest web standards to be implemented in their newest releases of Chromium. The development team of Edge just needs to keep these releases updated.

The aesthetics are the same

Microsoft Edge users don’t seem to mind the visual design of the browser because it is pretty much the same. In fact, the user interface is the most popular feature of the app. It makes sense that Microsoft wouldn’t try to change a design that is already liked.

The Chromium and EdgeHTML versions are not totally the same, though. Once you start looking at the menus of the browser, you’ll see differences. The classic sidebar has been replaced by the new Chromium settings. Users are actually praising this change.

Limited Visual Customization Choices

User personalization could use a lot more work. The only things that users can change are the favorites bar, default fonts, and home button.

If you liked the classic Edge’s dark theme, that is not completely implemented yet into this internet browser. But if you go to the edge://flags page, you can enable the theme.

Possibly Uses Less RAM; Feels Faster

When you first try out the browser, you’ll notice it runs great and loads webpages fast. It even feels as fast as Chrome, so that’ll make the transition easier if you’re looking to start using Edge Browser instead.

Despite the variations in RAM usage, It seems to have less RAM than Chrome. If you try to open several tabs at once, you’ll notice this. Overall, the performance is better than the previous EdgeHTML version.

Several parameters influence RAM usage, which means your results may be a bit different. Plus, the build is quite early, so you should see performance changes in the stable release.

An abundance of new extensions

The Chrome Web Store definitely has the most extensions available out of any other repository. The add-on you’re looking for will be there before anywhere else.

You must have a Chromium-powered browser for the extensions to work. Since the program falls into this category now, then you can use extensions with it too.

The Microsoft Store is still available, but users can freely install extensions of Chrome too.

Same Exterior, Different Interior

Overall, it appears like Microsoft made a good choice to start using Chromium. The design of the browser still looks and feels the same, but there are so many possibilities that could come in the future.

Right now, the build has not been officially released for general public use. Therefore, if you notice problems with it, don’t get too upset. This new version of Edge is in the development stage, and fixes are constantly being made for it.

Google Chrome 37.0.2062.120 [Standalone Setup]

Google Chrome is today’s most popular browser in the world, managing in early 2014 to capture little over 42% of world’s non-mobile browser usage, easily beating all of its competitors in the likes of Internet Explorer (18%), Mozila Firefox (15%), Safari (6%) and Opera (2%).

This complete domination was achieved not only by smart utilization of the WebKit rendering engine that enabled Chrome to be imbued with incredible speed, stability and ability to be run on old computers that had slow hardware, but also streamlining of user interface and introduction of advanced features that enabled all users to easily take advantage of numerous Google cloud services (cloud hosted bookmarks, profile info, full integration into Google infrastructure, including Gmail, YouTube and more). But, even though all these features were present, Chrome was very distinct in constantly trying to maintain its simplistic interface and feature set. This meant that even though it aimed to become the most widely used browser in the world, Chrome never got official support for many features, most notably ability to natively collect, manage and render RSS feeds.

So what can you expect if you decide to start using Chrome browser today? You can expect incredible speed that was built on one of the world’s fastest JavaScript processing speed, fully-supported ability to customize your browser via 3rd party extension marketplace, instant syncing of your browsing sessions between desktop and mobile, and free access to up to 15 GB of online storage with Google Drive (sizes may change depending on current promotions).

Why use Google Chrome?

Speed
Chrome is designed to be fast in every possible way. It's quick to start up from your desktop, loads web pages in a snap, and runs complex web applications lightning fast.

Simplicity
Chrome's browser window is streamlined, clean and simple. For example, you can search and navigate from the same box and arrange tabs however you wish -- quickly and easily.

Security
Chrome is designed to keep you safer and more secure on the web with built-in malware and phishing protection, auto-updates to make sure you have all the latest security fixes, and more.

Privacy
Chrome not only to be faster, but also to put you in control of your private information while helping protect the information you share when you're online.

Personalization
There are tons of ways to customize Chrome and make it yours. It's easy to tweak your settings and add apps, extensions, and themes from the Chrome Web Store.

Signing In
Signing in to Chrome brings your bookmarks, history, and other settings to all your computers. It also automatically signs you in to all your favorite Google services.

Firefox 32.0 Offline Installer [Windows]

Mozilla Firefox is a free and open source browser in the world that played one of the key roles in expanding the way we experience internet. Originally introduced to the market on the September 23 2001 under its original name “Phoneix” by Dave Hyatt, Joe Hewitt and Blake Ross, this browser immediately cached the attention of the public and managed to attract incredible audience that made it the most popular browser in the world for several years. Today in early 2014, Firefox holds a steady third place, closely behind Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Google’s Chrome.

Popularity of Mozilla Firefox was achieved by constant delivery of revolutionary features and services that made browsing the internet much more pleasant, streamlined and ready for serious professional use. These features include tabbed browsing, live bookmarking, integrated download manager, on-the-fly spellchecking, option for private browsing, increased security, stability, support for work on older PC configurations, support for all the most popular web standards (HTML4, HTML5, XML, CSS, and dozens of others) and maybe most importantly, ability to use third party add-ons that can be created by users themselves. These add-ons were placed in easy to use online marketplace that supported single-click installation of those plugins, which tremendously boosted the ability of users to customize their browser experience just how they want it.

No matter if you are just introduced to the world of the internet or you are longtime user, Firefox browser represents one of the best ways you can experience everything that internet has to offer. Firefox offers:

Browsing Made Easy
Get to your favorite sites quickly – even if you don’t remember the URLs. Type your term into the location bar (aka the Awesome Bar) and the autocomplete function will include possible matches from your browsing history, bookmarked sites and open tabs.

High Performance
With faster start-up times, rapid graphics rendering and improved page load speed, the latest version of Firefox is full of major performance improvements you’ll notice instantly.

Advanced Security

Are your passwords saved? Check up on suspicious sites, avoid Web forgeries and make sure a site is what it claims to be.

Powerful Personalization
The Add-ons Manager has been redesigned to let you discover and install add-ons without ever leaving Firefox. Browse ratings, recommendations, descriptions and pictures of the add-ons in action to help you make your selection.

The Cutting Edge
Site authors and developers will love Firefox’s new and enhanced functionalities. If creating advanced content and applications gets you excited, Firefox is the best browser choice.

Google Chrome 35.0.1985.125
